It’s been quite a busy week for Palm Beach billionaire Jeff Greene. Aside from his press conference yesterday alongside West Palm Beach Mayor, Greene announced that he would be demolishing the eyesore that is The Sail Club apartments along the exit ramp for I-95 to make way for a new project along the shore of Clear Lake. Greene also submitted plans for 400 Micro-Apartments for the parcel of land he picked up on the corner of Banyan & Rosemary in Downtown West Palm Beach.
These Micro-Apartments are being described as an affordable living option without having to give up on the luxury. These 450 square feet apartments will have full kitchen and washer and dryers but with less personal living space and will be priced at about half of current rates. As a trade-off for less living space, these apartments will offer more luxurious common areas. These may also serve as “crash pads” for Miami lawyers who need to be in West Palm Beach briefly and need to be within walking distance to the Courthouses and future All Aboard train station.
